Speed bumps measure just 1-2 feet in travel direction and are 2-4 inches in height. Their short profile forces vehicles to slow to 2-10 MPH; essentially near-stop conditions. That's exactly what you'll need to protect the safety of pedestrians in your Dallas parking lot.

INSTALLATION
Our Speed Bump Installation Methods
We use different methods for installing speed bumps depending on the surface of your lot. Here's how asphalt installation compares to concrete installation.
Asphalt Surface Installation
We've found that most commercial properties have asphalt parking lots. On asphalt, speed bumps need to be installed by drilling small guide holes first, then securing the bumps with steel spikes and extra epoxy to stop them from moving.
Concrete Surface Installation
If you have a parking structure made from concrete, speed bumps will need to be installed with expansion shields rather than spikes. We'll drill 3/4" holes to 4-6 inch depth, insert 2-inch lag shields flush with the surface, then secure with lag bolts and washers.
Note: for garages with post-tensioned concrete (which has hidden cables inside), we won’t drill at all. Instead, we'll glue the bumps in place with strong epoxy so nothing gets damaged.

ADA COMPLIANCE

Examples include before pedestrian crossings, and entrances and exits to your lot, near loading zones, and between rows of parked cars. We'll explain our reasoning for each placement, and you'll make the final decision.

We'll use this information to draw up a written quote for the job with itemized pricing, including material costs, hardware, installation labor, and any special requirements for your surface type.
